Background App Refresh
iOS can wake up WatchAid while in the background on multiple occasions for up to 30 seconds during which time WatchAid can update. During background app refreshes, WatchAid can present notifications when new episodes are detected.
iOS is in complete control of the frequency with which it wakes WatchAid for background tasks. This frequency can vary wildly between users and devices based on your usage pattern. We have no control over how frequently iOS wakes WatchAid. Depending on how you use WatchAid, iOS may wake it for background fetching every few minutes, hours, days, or even longer.
Apple doesn't publish the details about this so we are unable to influence it. Our best suggestion at this time is to try to open WatchAid several times a day in hopes that it will influence iOS to wake the application more frequently.
